The hotel is renowned for its unique location and hospitable, casual atmosphere. You can walk straight onto the beach from the hotel. Bedrooms offer splendid views of the sea and dunes. The village is less than a kilometre away. As guests of the hotel, you can travel for free by bus around the whole island, including between the ferry stops and front of the hotel. Just show your guest card to the driver. A network of cycle and walking paths also start in front of the hotel. Most of the rooms are facing south overlooking the island and lighthouse, but there are rooms with superb sea views as well. There is a horse and pony riding school nearby. The ferry departs from the harbour of Harlingen and takes one and a half hour to reach Vlieland. In busy periods, guests can drop off their luggage in Harlingen, when entering the boat. This will be clearly quoted in Harlingen.
