This Baroque convent, built in the 17th century, is listed for conservation as cultural heritage by the Príncipe de Viana Institution. There is still an original white mulberry tree in what was originally the school courtyard and is today the private garden of the hotel. This tree is a living testimony of the entire 20th century in Villafranca, known previously as Alesves . Next to the dining room and with views of the garden-terrace, the salon of the hotel is suited to reading, catching up with news in the press, chatting or simply quiet contemplation. The Basilica of the Virgen del Portal is a 17th century convent-church with a splendid main altarpiece and baroque paintings. The Convent of Nuestra Señora del Carmen is an 18th century baroque temple with a façade that has a shrine presided by the Virgin del Carmen. The best example of civil architecture is the Palace of the Marqúes de Bobadilla, with monumental brickwork dating to the 17th century.
